Phillipsburg, NJ – October 22, 2010 – Breckenridge Brewery’s craft beers will be making their debut appearance in the state of New Jersey, as distribution agreements have been made between Hunterdon Distributors and the Colorado based brand. Consumers can expect to see product on store shelves and restaurant menus before the 2010 Thanksgiving holiday.
Founded in 1990 by home-brewing enthusiast Richard Squire, Breckenridge Brewery produces six year-round beers: LuckyU India Pale Ale, Avalanche Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Trademark Pale Ale, Vanilla Porter and an Agave Wheat. In addition, the brewery produces a small-batch, limited release series called the “471 Series” and also releases four seasonal styles throughout the year. The Christmas Ale will be available in time for this year’s holiday season.
What started as a 3,000 barrel-per-year company has grown ten-fold and is now producing over 30,000 barrels-per-year with products distributed in more than 25 states. Breckenridge maintains four breweries and brewpubs throughout the state of Colorado including locations in Denver, Grand Junction and its original facility in the ski-resort town of Breckenridge.
This is the sixth brewery that Hunterdon will be representing from Colorado – a state known for its abundance of exceptional craft breweries and award-winning beers. Hunterdon is excited to be adding Breckenridge and their “Fine Colorado Ales” to their roster of enjoyable fermented beverages.
