FRIESISCHES BRAUHAUS ZU JEVER

JEVER PILSNER: 20L kegs

The Pils in the surf. Hardly any other premium beer has remained as faithful to itself as Jever. For over 160 years, Jever has cultivated his own Frisian-bitter taste. And that has a reason: the brewing water. At the same time it is especially pure and soft, and allows us to admit more hops. That makes Jever so Frisian-tart and refreshing at the same time. ABV: 3.57%

ABV: 9.0%

CITRUS MAXIMUS: 6/4C cases | 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

Staying true to the name, we double dosed this IPA with Citra hops by adding them in the boil and again during the dry hop, where we combined them with Mosaic hops for their complex fruity aroma. TWO ROADS

SAIGON: 6/4C cases | 1/6 kegs

For our latest Two Evil collaborative brew, Two Roads’ Master Brewer Phil Markowski and Evil Twin’s Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso sampled and became enamored with a popular Vietnamese coffee drink called “Ca Phe Sua Da” (cah-fe sah dah). Thick and decadent, like a coffee milkshake, it was the inspiration for this Vietnamese-style Coffee Stout. Rich, thick mouthfeel gives way to lush sweetness with hint of coffee character followed by notes of cream, toffee and vanilla. ABV: 9.5%

WEEK OF DECEMBER 10th

ALESMITH

SPEEDWAY STOUT: 6/4 cases

Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come. ABV: 12.0%

GREGARIOUS NATURE: 4/6C cases | 1/2 kegs

For this beer, we teamed up with our friends at Stone Brewing Company. The name Gregarious Nature is a nod to the friendship between AleSmith Owner, Peter Zien and Stone Co-Owner, Greg Koch. We decided to join forces in salute to the classic San Diego-style IPA, which helped put both of our breweries on the map.  This easy-drinking brew will put you in a friendly mood with its assertive notes of citrus, pine, and grapefruit.  You can’t argue with the timeless hop character in this clean, flavorful IPA.  Get gregarious and share one with a worthy pal today! One Big Bad Imperial Stout with Cocoa nibs and Coffee beans. Each season’s release uses a different dark roasted coffee. ABV:

QUADRUPLE BARREL BIG BAD BAPTIST: 12/22 cases

We’ve taken barrel-aging to a whole new level by aging shaved coconut, almonds, and Blue Copper’s Colombian coffee beans in fresh whiskey barrels, while our Imperial Stout ages separately in both rum and whiskey barrels. Then, our brewers hand blend each batch creating the most complex and outrageous version of Big Bad Baptist we have ever made. ABV:

BIG BAD BAPTISTA: 12/22 cases

STONE BREWING

EVIL TWIN: 1/1.5L bottles

Where Stone goes boldly, the Evil Twin goes madly. Put them together in a city like Berlin, mix in the influence and the result of something brazenly twisted. No other way to describe such a beer as this. Traditionally, the Berliner Weisse style is mildly tart and low ABV. Weather the decision was Stone bold or Evil Twin mad, we cannot say. suffice though that this beer is rather handily within the confines of both. We’ve sourced Elderflower to bring out the subtle tartness of this native Berlin beer with the goal of magnifying it beyond reason. IF SWITCHING TO ALL CAPS IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING, WE DID SO TO COMMUNICATE THE BOLD AND TWISTED POWER OF THIS BEER. SAURES UBEL POSSESSES A CITRIC AND SOUR AROMA AND TASTE THAT MANAGES TO BE BOTH REFRESHING AND INTENSE, PLEASANT AND CHALLENGING. *Deep Breath* Good. Got a little intense for a moment. Good, Now you’re ready to open and enjoy. ABV: 9.5%

ALEMITH: 1/1.5L bottles

In the lexicon of craft beer, there are special release beers that are hard to obtain and then there are ‘whale’ beers that are the stuff of legend. Unobtainium. Beers that can’t simply be bought. One must favor a friend who knows a brewer that can get it for the right trade and a bit of luck. For some craft diehards this is silly. For others it’s a lifestyle. Those who grapple with FoMO might not know exactly what they are missing, but still hold a fear that others are simply having a more rewarding experience than they. Not this time. Fear no mo’ FoMO. Our very good and very dear friends at AleSmith, who were VERY early in the ÜWW (über walez world), brewed this in Berlin with us, just for you. BTW, if you’re pondering the use of umlauts, they indicate our own form of FöMÖ. Miss using cavalierly superfluous Umlauts? Now, that would be missing out. ABV: 9.9%

BITBURGER

VARIETY: 3/8C cases

KRONENBOURG

BLANC: 6/4/16C cases

OKOCIM

O.K. PILSNER: 2/12/11C cases

It has a deep golden yellow hue and pours with creamy white head. Spicy, markedly hop influenced aromas lend to its rich and rounded flavor. A medium bodied palate and snappy bitter hop finish make this a very stylish and distinctive pilsner.

SCHLAFLY

TASMANIAN IPA: 4/6 cases | 1/6 kegs | 50L kegs

Our IPAs further the tradition of fortified ale recipes with malted barley and more hops for a higher alcohol content. So under the guidance of our younger generation of brewers, we took our distinctly American IPA and used that as a model for a bigger beer—one that’s powerfully hoppy and dangerously drinkable. This aromatic ale is heavy on Australian Galaxy hops and balanced in bitterness, with recognizable tropical notes.

STOUT BOUT VARIETY: 2/12 cases

Variety packs include 3 bottles each of Mexican Chocolate Stout, Dulce De Leche Stout, Raspberry Coffee Stout, and Mango Ancho Stout.

TWO ROADS

PASSION FRUIT GOSE: 1/2 kegs

Two Roads is driving a tanker truck down a road less traveled with this Passion Fruit Gose (pronounced GO-sah). This series of unique ales are kettle soured in our very own tanker truck trailer – a former milk tanker like the one on the front label – that’s parked right on the grounds of our brewery! Featuring a nose of BIG tropical fruit, the taste is of light wheat and a perfect harmony of tartness and sweet fruit that’s mingled with salinity to really bring the flavors to life – this refreshing gose is the perfect accompaniment to any occasion. ABV: 5.2%

YARDS BREWING

CHOCOLATE LOVE STOUT: 6/4 cases | 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

There are stouts. And then there’s Chocolate Love Stout. Brewed with over 200 pounds of Belgian dark chocolate, this deep dark beauty will tantalize and seduce you with its roasty maltiness. WEEK OF DECEMBER 3rd

ALLAGASH

PICTAVIA: 6/4 cases | 1/6 kegs

Pictavia (the former name of Scotland) has sweet honey and caramel notes balanced by oak and a light tart bitterness. It’s brewed with Special B, Munich, pale, and Caramel malt in addition to roasted barley and our two row blend. It’s then hopped exclusively with Northern Brewer. After fermenting on an abbey-style yeast, we age it in scotch barrels—that first held port, before scotch—for around four months. ABV: 9.3%

RESURGAM: 6/12 cases

Coolship Resurgam is brewed with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and aged hops. The beer is cooled overnight using outside air temperature in a traditional, large shallow pan known as a coolship. During the cooling process, naturally occurring microflora from the air inoculates the beer, and in the morning, it is transferred into French oak wine barrels where the entire fermentation and aging takes place. Coolship Resurgam is a blend of this one-, two-, and three-year old spontaneously fermented beer. The finished beer has aromas of apricot, lemon zest, and candied fruit. Notes of tropical fruit and flavors of funk lead to a clean, tart, and dry finish. ABV: 6.3%

ENGELSZELL

BENNO: 20/11 cases

This Belgian Ale is the second beer produced by the eighth Trappist Abbey of Stift Engelszell. It pours a clear amber colour topped by an impressive white head. In the nose, one can find similarities with the Engelszell Gregorius in the aromas of honey and its fruity sweet notes. The roasted malt gives a subtle smoked character to the whole. In the mouth, one can taste more floral flavours with predominant malt and yeast notes that reveal the strong character of the beer. The whole is emphasized by fruity notes that sweeten the strong aromas of this Austrian Trappist.  ABV: 6.9%

GREGORIUS: 20/11 cases

The Gregorius is the first Trappist beer produced in the brewery’s beer boats. It was named after the first Abbot from the congregation of the Trappist fathers of the Monastery of Engelszell. Visually, it pours a pretty dark colour, almost black. The creamy-coloured head is long-lasting despite its thinness. In the nose, the whole is composed of aromas of honey, cereals and sugar, promising an excellent tasting. ABV: 9.7%

BELL’S BREWERY

KALAMAZOO: 1/2 kegs

BREWDOG

CHOCO LIBRE: 4/6C cases | 1/6 kegs

This one-off brew showcases the flavours of a Mexican spiced hot chocolate, infused in an imperial stout. One of the most complex stouts we have ever brewed (which is saying something) Choco Libre is colossal and comes ready to roll. Our tip? Don’t fight – make peace with it instead. Expect a wallop of milk chocolate, vanilla, fruity coffee, and cinnamon, with an undercurrent of dark malt roastiness. This beer is rich and full-bodied, with a warmth of chilies. Sombrero sold separately. ABV: 8.2%

CIGAR CITY

SPACE POPE: 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

Is the Space Pope reptilian?  That question remains to be answered but in the meantime we have his eponymous IPA to consider.  Brewed with an astronomical amount of Mosaic, Citra, Hallertauer Blanc and (what else?) Galaxy hops that lend notes of passionfruit and melon to the clean flavors of base malt and a touch of crystal malt for depth of character.  When your ecclesiastical jurisdiction encompasses the entire universe, only Cigar City Brewing’s Space Pope IPA will do! ABV: 7.3%

CUTWATER

BALI HAI TIKI HOLIDAY SPIRIT: 6/750mL bottles

San Diego’s weather can have you forgetting it’s the holiday season, but our Tiki Holiday Spirit will take you there. It begins with our exceptionally smooth Bali Hai Rum with the subtle flavors of pineapple and coconut, which we combine with cream, cinnamon, and a hint of holiday spirit. The result is reminiscent of an eggnog, but with a Cutwater tropical twist – just pour, add ice, and enjoy. ABV: 20%

FOUNDERS

TRIGO: 4/6C cases | 1/4 kegs | 1/2 kegs

We’re strong believers that the only thing better than brewing beer is brewing beer with friends. We worked with our pals at Mahou San Miguel to bring the recipe for Trigo (Spanish for ‘wheat’) to life. They brought their lager-brewing expertise and we brought our hopping expertise. The result is a clean and crisp wheat lager with big, American-hopped aromatics. Salud! ABV: 6.3%

MAINE BEER

MEAN OLD TOM: 1/6 kegs

I think it was the summer of ’76, I was 5 years old, and my Uncle Tom came to paint our house. It was in the tiny town of Louisiana, Missouri, on the mighty Mississippi River, where he would take me to troll the roadside ditches to gather one man’s junk (beer cans). In honor of his magnificent treasure (his beer can collection) and his spirit for fast cars, tough motorcycles and mean smiles, we bring you Mean Old Tom. ABV: 6.5%

Brewery roasted Sumatra coffee beans and milk sugar gives this stout more body and sweetness to balance the roasted character of the malts. ABV: 5.3%

RIVER HORSE

HIPPO’S HAND: 6/4C cases | 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

New England style IPA brewed with Buddha’s Hand fruit and dry hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Lemondrop hops. Left unfiltered, it has a hazy golden appearance and a delicate citrus nose. The Buddha’s Hand fruit lends big citrus notes complimented by the Citra and Lemondrop hops. Not overly sweet and not overly bitter, this is an extremely balanced, smooth and refreshing double IPA. ABV – 9%

STONE

ENJOY BY 01.01.19 BRUT IPA: 4/6C cases | 22 oz. bottles | 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

What better way to commemorate a fresh start than with an uber-fresh beer? This variant of our Enjoy By IPA series features innovative brewing techniques that give it a bright effervescence and a super-dry finish. It makes for a great craft beer alternative to traditional “bubbles,” and it’s still blasted with enough explosive hop flavor to rival any fireworks display. Enjoy its refreshing notes of citrus and peach before, during or after the holidays… just not TOO long after. ABV: 9.4%

FAHRT DIE ZIEGE: 1/1.5L bottles

A few years back, The Bruery released a delightful barrel-aged weizenbock called Ride That Goat, which served as the initial spark of inspiration for what you’re holding in your hand. In German, Ride That Goat loosely (with a dose of creative license) translates to “Fahrt die Ziege.” We’ll get back to that in a second. Our friends from up the Interstate 5 Freeway in Southern California took the slightly longer trip (even longer by goat, presumably) to Berlin to help us with this collaboration. Aged in barrels for four months, then brewed again, this time with fresh blueberries sourced in a moment of Gestalt, through pure Zeitgeist, from neighboring local Dörrwerk, The final blend is 2/3 aged and 1/3 fresh brewed, yet 100% full of San Diego bravado, Orange County creativity, and old-school-meets-neue-schule German brewing in Berlin. Phew. Admittedly “Reite Die Ziege” would be more accurate, but hey, Fahrt Die Ziege made us laugh. So we stuck with it. ABV: 11.5%

SAURER AXTMANN: 1/1.5L bottles

Have guitar, will travel. Check. Have mash paddle, will travel. Check. Have invitation to Berlin to brew, will travel. Hell yeah. Cue our friend Todd Haug. He checked all those boxes and joined us to make this inspired and unique creation. Our Stone Berlin Brewmaster Thomas Tyrell has spent many years studying and brewing versions of the consummate Berlin style, the Berliner Weisse. Todd was intrigued with the idea of überizing (wasn’t a real word before, but it is now) the style and wanted to further überize (how quickly a new word can find its wayinto the lexicon) with the addition of ginger root and Citrus Hystrix leaf. They worked perfectly, as you’ll see. Todd, Thomas and Greg all agreed they’d never tasted anything quite like it before, and that they all loved it. So now, it has traveled time and space to you. Check it! ABV: 9.0%

VIRANDO BRASILIERO CON MADEIRA VERMELHA: 1/1.5L bottles

The first time we joined forces with Samuel and Paulo Cavalcanti of Bodebrown was in 2012 when Stone co-founder Greg Koch traveled to Brazil to brew the landmark Stone / Bodebrown Cacau IPA. Fast forward to September 2016, Bodebrown co-founders Samuel and Paulo made the journey to Berlin to attend our Stone Berlin Grand Opening Celebration and we officially began formulating the idea for this collaboration. Finally, everything came together in late November of 2017, and we brewed this long-anticipated special beer. “Virando Brasiliero con Madeira Vermelha” means “‘turning Brazilian’ with red wood,” which we chose for its uniquely Brazilian flavor thanks to aging on Amburana wood, traditionally used in the production of Brazil’s famous spirit, cachaça. ABV: 10.2%

MAHRS BRAAU “MIDNIGHT FRUHSTUCK DER CHAMPIONS”: 1/1.5L bottles

There was a LOT of talk about what this beer could be. The only survivor from the shipwreck of ideas between Adam Avery, Greg Koch and Thomas Tyrell had been a mutual like for Bamberd, its smoked beers, and Greg’s friendship with Mahrs Bräu brewmaster Stephan Michel. With that firm affirmation in hand, a WhatsApp invitation was extended. But still, the lingering question remained: What to brew? Fortunately, this global cabal of brewing wunderkinds is nothing if not creative. The theme, appropriate for this group, was Bourbon & Pancakes. Because, obviousle. That, and Adam LOVES midnight breakfasts. Mahrs Bräu contributed Bamburg favorite Rauchbier in bock form. Adam brought the desire to age it in Maple and Bourbon barrels. Stone simply wanted it Imperial. And so was born the American inspired, German variant of a brewer’s ‘Midnight Frühstück der Champions. ABV: 8.8%

THREE 3’S

HULLABALLOO: 1/6 kegs

The uproar of east coast versus west coast IPA’s can be deafening. This aptly named IPA combines classic West Coast bittering featuring Columbus and Simcoe with East Coast focus on hop flavor. Featuring a large whirlpool of Simcoe, El Dorado and Cascade, and dry hopped with over 15lbs of Simcoe, Citra, El Dorado and Cascade, Hullabaloo features a nose of floral and citrus with flavors of peach, berry and earthiness on the finish. ABV: 7.0%

S.S. AZZ IF: 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

Session IPA brewed with heavy handed additions of wheat, oats, and one of our favorite hop combinations, Azacca and Citra. A citrusy nose leads into flavors of spicy mango, and citrus. ABV: 5.2%

BACK TO REALITY: 1/6 kegs

A bright IPA in the truest sense. Heavy additions of wheat and oats create a lush mouthfeel. We walloped this one with some of our favorite American hops (Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe) in the whirlpool and dry hop. Notes of ripe orange peel, fresh picked tangerine and citrus. An all-day crusher that won’t tire the palate. ABV: 6.0%

TREOGS

MAD ELF GRAND CRU: 12/25 cases

If you know Tröegs, you know The Mad Elf, the mischievous belle of the holiday beer ball that helped put our little brewery on the map. In your hands is the Director’s Cut. Tart Balaton cherries – loads of them – make all the difference. Bottle-conditioned and flush with notes of cinnamon and clove, this beer begs to be shared. Take a bottle home, gather your friends, and cherish the cherries. ABV: 11.0%

NITRO CHOCOLATE STOUT: 1/6 kegs | 1/2 kegs

Six different malt varieties, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, lactose, oats, and vanilla combine to produce a decadent Chocolate Stout with a lush, velvety texture and rich, smooth finish. ABV: 7.1%

SCRATCH 351: 1/6 kegs

One of the many things we love about our Scratch Series is the opportunity it gives is to spotlight seasonal ingredients. Each fall, when farmers flood their bogs and harvest loads of deep red cranberries, our minds go right to Cranberry Porter. Chocolate malt and a smidgen of Special B caramel malt lay a roasty backbone, while cranberries add a pleasantly tart, fruity finish. ABV: 6.8%

VON TRAPP

TROSTEN: 4/6 cases

Trösten translating to “comfort beer”, a dark lager with rich notes of chestnut and toast. Carafa and smoked malts create rich flavors lingering on a surprisingly light, smooth finish. Brewed for the cold winter nights in Vermont, but can be enjoyed on any occasion. ABV: 6.0%
