WEEK OF JUNE 28th

ALLAGASH

TINY HOUSE: 6/4C, 1/6

Allagash House is brewed in the tradition of Belgian house beers—lower-ABV brews made for the brewers themselves. You can think of Tiny House as that beer’s little brother. With a lower ABV and a boost in hops, Tiny House packs a solid array of flavor into a small beer. Its aromas hint at melon and grapefruit thanks to dry hopping with Amarillo, while its flavor balances subtle maltiness with a light bitter note in the finish.

LEXINGTON BREWING

KENTUCKY COFFEE BARREL CREAM ALE: 4/6

Coffee Cream Ale- Cream ale brewed with Haitian coffee and aged in oak bourbon barrels.  The brewers at Lexington Brewing Co. took a traditional cold-conditioned cream ale brewed with flaked corn and added our own Haitian coffee to the mix. After resting in fresh bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s premier distillers, Kentucky Coffee Barrel Cream Ale becomes a sessionable beer packed with flavor.  Big, bold notes of coffee on the nose and palate give way to a smooth finish of bourbon grains and oak.  Subtle notes of vanilla and caramel complement this beer from time spent in the barrel.

BAD SEED CIDER

All that you’re drinking is a full pound of pressed apples, fermented to full dryness. Nothing else. There’s a reason everyone knows us as “Bad Seed: the Dry Cider!” We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed making it.

The end result is a perfect balance of tart, sweet, and sour, leaving you refreshed and wanting more.

MAINE BEER COMPANY

NITRO MEAN OLD TOM: 1/6

I think it was the summer of ’76, I was 5 years old, and my Uncle Tom came to paint our house. It was in the tiny town of Louisiana, Missouri, on the mighty Mississippi River, where he would take me to troll the roadside ditches to gather one man’s junk (beer cans). In honor of his magnificent treasure (his beer can collection) and his spirit for fast cars, tough motorcycles and mean smiles, we bring you Mean Old Tom.

NESHAMINY CREEK

COFFEE JAWN: 4/6C, 1/6, 1/2

A malty, yet crisp Pale Ale,  loaded with dank citrus, as well as tropical and stone fruit flavor and aroma from the gratuitous use of Nugget and Zythos hops.

WARPED WHEAT: 6/4C

ORIGINAL SIN

BLACK WIDOW: 1/6, 1/2

Wild blackberries are native across the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the United States. They grow bountifully throughout summer and ripen to a plump juicy black color in August. They belong to the rose family, as you might expect from their thorny brambles, along with raspberries, strawberries, the stone fruits, and almonds.

Any forager can use blackberries to make wine or infuse whiskey, or enjoy in 12 oz cans with freshly pressed New York apples from Original Sin.

ROGUE

JUST A PINCH: 4/6C, 50L

With our brewery sitting on the Pacific Ocean, all that salt air went to our heads and had us dreaming of a cold, refreshing gose. So, we went out on the water and hand-harvested our own Yaquina Bay sea salt to brew the beer of our dreams. Tart and with a pinch of salt, this beer reminds us of our home.

SIXPOINT

HOOTIE: 6/4/16C, 1/6, 50L

It’s a hazy, bright pale ale hopped with Amarillo, Citra, and Centennial. That blend of strains creates a potent, but light and fresh, hop aroma. Satisfying, and really easy to gulp.

The slight spicy characteristics of the Rye Malt complements the sweetness of the peaches and a small amount of Caramel Malt and Oats.

TWO ROADS

SAIGON SCOOTER SELFIE: 1/6

For our latest Two Evil collaborative brew, Two Roads’ Phil and Evil Twin’s Jeppe sampled and became enamored with a popular Vietnamese coffee drink called “Ca Phe Sua Da” (cah-fe sah dah). Thick & decadent, like a coffee milkshake, it was the inspiration for this Vietnamese-style Coffee Stout. They then traveled to the chaotic, scooter packed streets of Saigon to meet up with good friends at Heart Of Darkness Brewery. It was there that the brewers created the first batch of this collaborative beer.

PASSION FRUIT GOSE: 1/6

Two Roads is driving a tanker truck down a road less traveled with this Passion Fruit Gose (pronounced GO-sah). This series of unique ales are kettle soured in our very own tanker truck trailer – a former milk tanker like the one on the front label – that’s parked right on the grounds of our brewery! Featuring a nose of BIG tropical fruit, the taste is of light wheat and a perfect harmony of tartness and sweet fruit that’s mingled with salinity to really bring the flavors to life – this refreshing gose is the perfect accompaniment to any occasion.

KITCHEN SINK: 1/6

An ale hopped with T-op hop pellets, hop extracts, Lupulin powder, TNT hop blend and even hop hash and distillate, this one’s everything but the kitchen sink!

CRUISE CONTROL: 4/6C

HOP CRISIS: 4/6, 1/6

Hop Crisis. Crisis? What Crisis? BREW FREE! OR DIE: 2/12C

Our golden West Coast IPA is perfectly balanced with a solid malt backbone and just the right amount of hop flavor and aroma. Taste Freedom. ABV: 7.0%

OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIE: 6/4C

The genesis of the beer you’re holding in your hand was pretty simple. We asked ourselves, “What if a beer tasted like an oatmeal raisin cookie?” The answer to our rhetorical question was to add raisins, lactose and cinnamon to Maduro, our English-style Brown Ale, a beer that showcases flavors of caramel, toffee and chocolate. The combination of the base beer and the additional ingredients resulted in a beer that tastes like it was baked in Grandma’s oven. ABV: 5.5%

INFUSE BITTERS

LEMON PEPPER: 12/120

With only sun-dried lemon peel bits and whole black pepper, Lemon Pepper is one of the most versatile of Infuse’s bitters. It’s savory, yet sweet, and is equally great in vinaigrettes as it is in a cocktail. Try it for a beautiful balance of citrus notes and a spicy, peppery finish.

SZECHUAN SPICE: 12/120

Offering over 17 different unique and flavorful spices inside every single bottle, Szechuan Spice is one hell of a ride. Just as versatile in cooking, this type of spice blend is truly one-of-a-kind. Strong anise, licorice, and peppercorn flavors are perfectly balanced by numerous bittering roots and floral notes in the bitters. Try it in an Asian Old-Fashioned with your favorite Japanese whiskey or mix it into your favorite tiki drink for a little more spice.

AROMATIC BOURBON: 12/120

Aromatic Bourbon is one of the few bitters in the marketplace that has bourbon as a base solution. We use Infuse Spirit’s very own Broken Barrel Cask Strength in the seven-ingredient infusion.⁣ It’s oaky from the bourbon, sweet from cranberries, and bitter from roots and spices like licorice and star anise. Add it to any whiskey classic for a boozier and tarter experience.

You get this extra crisp, bone dry, almost-tart texture in our Brut IPA… the beer is hazy and delivers tons of juicy hop character but is more refreshing and repeatable than your average IPA. ABITA

AMBER: 4/6

Amber is a Munich style lager brewed with pale and caramel malts and German Perle hops. It has a smooth, malty, slightly caramel flavor and a rich amber color. Abita Amber was the first beer offered by the brewery and continues to be our leading seller. Amber is Abita’s most versatile beer for pairing with food. It has been voted “best beer” in numerous New Orleans reader polls and is used frequently in recipes of great Louisiana chefs. ABV: 4.5%

ANDYGATOR: 4/6

Abita Andygator®, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pilsner malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator® is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock. You might find it goes well with fried foods. It pairs well with just about anything made with crawfish. Some like it with a robust sandwich. Andygator® is also a good aperitif and easily pairs with Gorgonzola and creamy blue cheeses. Because of the high alcohol content, be cautious — sip it for the most enjoyment. ABV: 8.0%

ALLAGASH

FV13: 1/6

FV13 originates as a Belgian-style golden ale. After fermentation in stainless steel with our house yeast, it is transferred to a 2,700 gallon French oak foudre where it is aged for four years on a blend of wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria. This year’s beer features an aroma with notes of graham cracker, lime zest, and vanilla. The flavor blends sweet and tart with notes of grapefruit and raspberry, and finishes with a cleansing bitterness. ABV: 8.8%

LOS LOCOS: 4/6C

Troy Guard is a Denver chef with a Mexican restaurant so badass we can’t even put the name on this can. While enjoying his food we had a crazy idea: brew a Mexican-Style Lager with corn, natural lime juice and just a hint of salt. We recommend it with rattlesnake chorizo Guac- yep, that’s real. Salud amigos!

BIG BAD BAPTISTA: 12/22

Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture. As beverage geeks we wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition and offer our unique take. Big Bad Baptista is a combination of Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mexican coffee roasted by Blue Copper, and Solstice Chocolate cacao nibs. It’s luxurious to say the least, with a pleasant warming sensation generated by the cinnamon and alcohol. Enjoying the interplay of chocolate, malt, oak, and spice is the perfect way to spend a cool evening, with friends around a fire.

QUADRUPLE BIG BAD BAPTISTA: 12/22

We’ve taken barrel-aging to a whole new level by aging shaved coconut, almonds, and Blue Copper’s Colombian coffee beans in fresh whiskey barrels, while our Imperial Stout ages separately in both rum and whiskey barrels. Then, our brewers hand blend each batch creating the most complex and outrageous version of Big Bad Baptist we have ever made.
