Like Lady Liberty, we stand for independence and perseverance. In the pursuit of innovative beer, there is no obstacle too great. No journey too long. No fruit too gigantic. This American wheat beer is brewed with real watermelon, for a flavor that’s surprisingly crisp, dry and refreshing—summer in a can. Hell or High Watermelon Wheat is our summer seasonal beer available from April through September in six pack cans and on draft. We start by brewing a classic American wheat beer, which undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon. A straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor. ABV: 4.9%

Émile, 6/12.7 packs

Émile is aged in foudres that once held Pineau des Charentes, a French aperitif made famous by the man whose name graces this beer’s label. We brew Émile with a blend of 2-row malt, local oats, local raw red wheat, Special B, and Midnight Wheat, then hop with Northern Brewer hops. Émile’s roasty, vinous flavor comes together after it’s been fermented with our house yeast, and then aged in the foudre with Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. The color of mature rosewood with ruby highlights, Émile carries the aroma of black currants and elderberries with hearty, earthy undertones. Notes of both dark chocolate and dates infuse the taste, making for a beer that’s part France, part Belgium, and all Maine. ABV: 7.2%

Uncommon Crow, 6/12 packs

This beer was inspired by the common American crow’s love for blackberries. Uncommon Crow’s aromas of dark chocolate and cherries bloom into big blackberry flavor and a slightly tart finish. We brew this beer with 2-row barley, Midnight wheat, raw wheat, and rye malt, before adding a blend of Perle, Glacier, and Simcoe hops. The beer is fermented exclusively with our house strain of local Brettanomyces yeast. After six months in a stainless tank we add local blackberries. Like its namesake, Uncommon Crow carries a dusky hue. Over the following five months, Uncommon Crow continues to ferment and develops its luscious, uncommon flavors. ABV: 7.1%
